

Maureen Sweeney, SRA is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign Campus. She has been in the real estate industry since 1984, beginning her career on the mortgage side with Credit Information Systems, Inc (CISI). From 1984 through 1989, Maureen sold credit reports to mortgage lenders.
In 1989 Maureen became a real estate appraiser. Her primary focus is in the City of Chicago with 20 years experience in the surrounding suburbs. She is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser, licensed in the State of Illinois.
Maureen is a member of the Appraisal Institute and has earned the SRA designation, for appraisers involved in the valuation and analysis of residential real estate appraisals. The SRA designation is earned upon the successful completion of a graduate-level curriculum.
Maureen recently completed the Litigation Certificate Program through the Appraisal Institute, successfully passing the Litigation Certificate of Completion Program examinations in 2009.
Maureen is a member of the Illinois Coalition of Appraisal Professionals (ICAP) and is serving on the 2008 Seminars Committee. She was a member of the focus group, organized and benefiting the Environmental Protection Agency and the Delta Institute entitled "Market Barriers to Green Development"
Maureen is a member of the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council (ERC). She has passed the ERC Residential Appraisal Training Program in May, 2007. Maureen works with Alvin L. "Chip" Wagner III, SRA, IFA, SCRA, RAC Member and oversees A.L. Wagner Appraisal Group's Chicago office for relocation appraisals.
Maureen Sweeney served as the only certified residential real estate appraiser to the Illinois Real Estate Appraisal Board from 2006 through 2008, whose responsibilities included reviewing all Illinois appraisal courses for 2008 Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB) compliancy.
Maureen is frequently called upon to share her appraisal knowledge by giving lectures and training seminars to Realtors, the lending industry, and crime prevention community.
